Objective
My goal for this project was to emphasize the creature's traits using different line weights and words.
Research
I started by researching facts about orangutans. Orangutans are playful and fluffy, with large arm spans. I then outlined the orangutan, but I wanted to emphasize the movement of the creature's limbs.
Iterations
I went through many iterations, and each iteration I designed helped me get to my final.
Adding a Phrase
I wanted to choose a phrase that fit my animal and its pose. I chose the phrase "Keep Hangin' in There" to emphasize the creature hanging from the tree.
